Josh is currently studying horticulture at DVC, he’s four or five classes away from getting a certificate! For his classes he occasionally has to go on field trips and this time, Claire and I were fortunate enough to be able to tag along.
Claire loves the outdoors (like her parents, especially her dad) and this was the perfect excursion for her. What a relaxing, lovely day. We visited the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park.
Claire audtioning as the duck whisperer or in her case, the duck shouter. “DUCK! DUCK!”
In this photo Claire sat down and refused to move because she wanted to be near the squirrels.
If this photo had an audio track you would here “Sprinkler (or Claire’s version of the word) Sprinkler! No! No!” She was ticked that Josh wouldn’t let her run through the sprinkler.
The narrower, more overgrown and rugged the path was, the more Claire preferred it. Forget that walking on the asphalt stuff. Josh and I resigned ourselves to following wherever the road led her. At least he was still able to snap the necessary photos for his field trip.
Claire loved the rock garden where we picnicked for lunch.
