The Easter Bunny (Country Bunny fashion)visited our house this year and left a map for the kids to guide them to their Easter ‘baskets.’

So, no Easter baskets this year, Easter suitcases and they couldn’t have been more pleased (who knew?)
After Church services, we spent the morning with the family.

The kids really got into the Easter Egg Hunt. We hid and re-hid eggs all day long.
The Country Bunny, a favorite childhood book of mine made her appearance at our house before church on Easter morning. Little gold shoe prints led the way to the Easter treats on the hearth.
Christ is risen indeed.
My dad read the Easter story this year and it was punctuated with little comments from Claire like “hi…pop pop…meme, hi! Food!” Maybe next year she’ll actually listen to that wonderful story.
We celebrated Easter brunch at Meme & Boompa’s house – we even got an Easter egg hunt in before the rain started to pour.
Claire caught on to the egg hunt concept quickly.

Claire found some booty in one of her favorite parts of the yard, the secret garden.
She really liked the egg hunt once she realized some of the eggs contained puffs and organic animal crackers.
