A very Merry Christmas from the Smiths, Josh, Jen, Claire and Lola.

The Smith household is very thankful this Christmas season. This year has brought a lot of unknowns to us and through it all, the Lord has provided. We are so thankful and grateful to friends and family who have pitched in to help us solve our child care issue especially to my parents and two grandmas who share the responsiblity of watching Claire the couple days a week I am at work. We are thankful for the odd jobs that have popped up here and there that have enabled us to make ends meet and sometimes put a little away, especially in this time of economic uncertainty. We are thankful for our jobs and our health and the health of our family members.

One of my personal highlights this year being able to visit my Aunt Josie in New York and introduce her to Claire.

This year has also brought a very special surprise. In late October Josh and I found out we were going to have the blessing of being parents again. Yep, we’re having another baby. This baby, hank, as he/she is affectionately called is due late June 2010 (could be early July).  We are thrilled and terrified and surprised, this came has a BIG surprise to Josh and I. Yet, we rest in the knowledge that although it was a surprise to us and “unplanned”, this baby’s path has already been planned by God. So, here we go!
